Mesherb-3, Building-1

July 24, 2008

Mesherb_3, Building_1 – this is where we are living right now. If you notice right before the building – there is an on-going construction which I suppose will be the same as our building. Maybe in less than a year time this view will become completely different.

Sealine at Night

July 19, 2008

Yesterday night we went to Sealine beach. It was a very dark night with only a dim moon illuminating the area. We take the opportunity of coming here for the first time when my officemates planned to come here to test / brake-in their brand new cars. We just rode to one of my officemate’s car, a 45 minute drive from Doha (coz we’re cruising at 90 kph only). But before we reach the beach proper, we encountered some problem – 2 of the cars of our group had a difficulty passing thru a sandy road that we had to push them ourselves to get the tires out from being sunked in the sand. Unfortunately my left ankle was hurt with that pushing huhu. Anyhow, here’s some of the photo i’ve taken that night.

Ryon’s new Roller Blades

July 12, 2008

We went to City Center today to buy some groceries from the Carrefour, but before we go in to Carrefour, we first went to some shops and we found a store selling some Roller Blades. Although Ryon is not asking for it since he and his ‘ate’ already have their own roller skates, I still bought one for him coz I am curious if there is a big difference between the tri-skate and a roller blade. When we got home, Ryon immediately put and tried his new four wheel blade. My conclusion – the blades are much faster than the skates.

Charles Allen’s Christening

July 5, 2008

We went this afternoon to the reception venue of the Christening of Charles Allen – the son of one of my officemate. The restaurant is named ‘the great wall chinese restaurant‘ near the Ramada signal and also near our flat. The picture below shows Reden with his wife Chit and their daughter Chyn along with Mike and my wife Emily. To go to this place, we also ride for the first time to Reden’s new car – a nissan qashqai.

In the mood

July 4, 2008

Last sunday, Emily asked me to make her a photo ID because she is planning to enroll in a driving school here in Qatar – so I set up and takes her picture in portrait settings. During that photo session, Eryn asked me to give her a shot also and heres one of the best I’ve made that day.
